The Speciality and Strength of Science

It has been quite a few weeks for science: vaccine approval, DeepMind AI’s protein folding advances, SpaceX launch, etc. So what makes science special and especially strong?
The general public often assumes that the special thing about science is it follows a distinctive “scientific method.”
A classic version of this method is:
1) Observe (2) Hypothesize (3) Predict (4) Test (5) Analyze results, revise hypothesis, and start again.
